LSO hit the notes on their new e-cargo bike

The London Symphony Orchestra are thrilled to have received delivery of their e-cargo bike, generously supported by funding from the Zero Emissions Network. This e-cargo bike will enable the LSO to take journeys by bike with heavy goods (instruments, music scores and orchestral parts, technological equipment and parcels) between its Barbican offices and its music education centre, LSO St Luke’s, as well as other areas around London, without creating any carbon emissions. The bike will reduce the LSO’s reliance on cars and similar vehicles, reducing its carbon footprint and promoting getting around by bicycle.

Alan Goode, LSO Operations Manager, said “We are really looking forward to using this bike for moving small pieces of equipment between LSO St Luke’s and the Barbican. Training will be provided to any staff member who wishes to use the bike for work purposes.”
