Islington Sustainability Fair, Monday 24th Aug, 2 – 5pm at Islington Assembly Hall Open to the general public, all ages are welcome to come along. Expect stalls & fun activities on energy advice & sustainability, repair & upcycling, crafts, clothes, food, ecology, composting, music, prizes! – Bring along electrical equipment to repair – The Islington Fixers will help you fix your broken electricals and electronics to save them from waste. The focus of the event will be skill-sharing, where participants with broken items take an active role in their repair. Please reserve a slot to help us predict numbers and make sure there are enough fixers. More info and booking details HERE — Also bring along garments to repair and upcycle – learn practical sewing skills & repurpose leftover textiles with Fashion Enter Ltd – Bring along a bicycle to repair – Dr.Bike will be there – their mechanics can check everything on your bike from wheels, brakes, gears and tyre pressure to lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more. – Get involved in a Community Clothes Swap – Give your pre-loved clothes a second life and discover new-to-you fashion at our Clothes Swap Event. This is a great opportunity to refresh your wardrobe sustainably, reduce waste, and connect with others in the community.
